Papyrus was founded in 1992 and initially operated a store in the fashionable Ou Ting area of Seoul. Shortly thereafter, its business expanded rapidly, giving birth to CED international, an independent physical store focusing on the wholesale of imported glasses. Nevertheless, papyrus is still an independent physical store brand, and eventually grew into a leading supplier of high-end glasses in South Korea. Under the supervision of Heon Seong Kim of papyrus, the current CEO of the company, he cleverly deployed the design led retail industry as a powerful brand communication tool, and recently, his seventh franchise store has opened in Hannan, the capital of South Korea.
The shop area is only 72 square meters. The store is located on the ground floor of nine one Hannam, an upscale apartment building with its own shopping center. The design follows the principle of integrating the original architectural form with functions, and designs Abstract geometry as the shape of the booth. The cabinet is decorated with electroplated red colored stainless steel, which not only adds a striking visual effect to the environment, but also is designed as functional furniture in a large part.
Improving the visual effect is a means of sharp contrast. Red is a very eye-catching color. Coupled with the all inclusive blue, the wall, floor and ceiling of the store are used as the background color of the environment. Form a strong contrast without losing balance. One of the special highlights is the use of commercial lighting fixtures with high color rendering and professional lighting design.
A small office space and a bright optometry room are also designed in the store.
